My jackson is missing numerous claws and I was wondering if they are going to grow back.. Anyone who could answer this question for me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It depends on whether the nail bed was damaged when the claw pulled out. If the claw is broken but the base is still there it might. Most often claws that are completely pulled out will not regrow. Keep a close eye on the toes. If they get swollen, discolored, or hard you will need to treat the cham for infection. For freshly lost claws it helps to dab some Polysporin or triple antibiotic ointment on the tip to fight infection. Also, you may need to change the screening on your cage to keep him from climbing it and snagging his remaining claws.

A great reason to stay away from mesh.

Try 1/2"x1" PVC coated wire.

I have a male tamatave with messed up nails, the guy sold him to me without telling me this. Most of his nails are gone but there are about 4 that are small stubby nails, I've had him for about 6 months and they still have not grown out any.

If he is having priblems hanging on to branches or still tries to climb wrap a towel in plastic and cushin the bottom of his cage with it so he does not hurt himself. Thats what I do for my male.
