My New Firebelly Newts

Hey, i just bought two firebellies at an expo in which me and my friend attended,they eat great, in fact i feed them dry food and earthworms which they seem to love, they are very active and i add more and more water to their tank everyday to test at which water level they like best.....anyway i wanted to know how i can tell wat there sex is....is it the same as any other pet?....

I will post pics shortley...tell me wat u think

Go to www.caudata.org/cc There are FAQ and articles there on how to identify the type of firebelly you have (several species are called firebelly) and how to sex them.

If they are mostly aquatic, give them as much water as you can. They do have an island to climb out if they want, right?

If you in fact have Chinese fire bellies (which it sounds like you do) . . . The males have shorter and thicker tails, and the females have longer tails (length of body). However the link given in the previous post is a good place for specifics.
