Today I decided to buy the better quality 34c blue astroturf. If does not look like grass as the green did but snakes sure show up nice on it. This investment into a more expensive substrate allowed me to cover my green anaconda cage twice and cover my amazon tree boas cage as well as my ball pythons cage and still have a little left over for 8 dollars...I know I know..what about the other snakes...for 8 dollars I should be able to have a substrate able to cover all the snakes in the world...but folks i assure you i have enough green astroturf left over from my last 8$ investment at 19 c a sq ft that I can cover all of my cages today and have plenty of blue and green astroturf for the next bowl movements. I am just spoiling with this fancy 34 c stuff for a little bit since these snakes have been good the last few months...plus their neighbor the emperor scorpion just passed away so I feel bad they lost a friend.
