How did it swallow the bark? Was he/she eating at the time?I had a jungle carpet python get some bark stuck in her mouth after she ate a rat once. I grabed her behind the head/neck and got it out with some tweezers. They will twist on you but don't let go. If you can do that then try other wise I would take it to the vet.
If it's back in her throat but you can see it you can try to pry his mouth open with a tonge depresser or something similar to keep his mouth open then try to get it with tweezers.
If he swallowed it while eating then feed him in another enclosure with nothing except newspaper. If he's eating it just to eat it, although I don't see why a snake would do that, then I would remove all the bark and use a different substrate.
This is just my thought since I'm no expert. Good Luck. :0)
a peice of repti bark is not going to cause any harm to the snake. Wild corns do not get to eat their prey on clean paper towel covered enclosures and some mulch will pass through your snakes digestive track with out much effort. I would try to avoid making a habbit of letting it swallow any thing other then mice, but some wood won't cause much harm. I doubt that the peice was big enough to cause a digestive obstruction, that is unless your snake ate a peice of wood the size of it's own head? Other then that I would just keep an eye on it, soak it in some luke warm water in a week to help it pass.
Good luck

How old/big is the snake? How long ago did it eat it?

he is less than a foot. about at big around as a tip of my lil finger. I can see the "lumP" protuding frome his stomace. he eat it thursday
I can feel for you. While i have used newspaper for the last 6 years i had to make the switch to aspen because i havent had the time for cleaning cages 2 or 3 times a week.If you gonna use wood substrate aspen is the safer way to go.It would probably be a good idea to feed in a seperate enclosure from now on.A good size chunk of retile bark can plug your snake up.If there's still a noticible lump in your corn after a week i would seek the help of a vet...Paul
