My cat jumped inside through my window and RIGHT into my bucket of mini-mealworms, and then out of that, causing it to flip over & empty all of nearly 2000 mealworms out!!!

UGHGHGHH I scooped up what I could & then started vacuuming.. Finally got one spot cleaned, turned around for 1/2 a second and back again, and there are another million of them right there where I just got it cleaned!!!!

What do I do?!??!? I vaccuumed for 15 minutes and I'm STILL seeing them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dude get a bucket drill holes on the sides near the bottom and fill it with carrot and other food items they like to eat

sorry but thats kinda funny. Actually its a big fear i have, so i have them over a hard surface so I can clean better. I remember someone else a while back had this problem, and they rubbed the carpet on top and the mealworms came up. if you can, my best guess would be make and barrier around the area so they cant get further, and put food or a water source in the middle, and you should be able to get alot of them. look on the bright side, its worms, not beetles, or heaven forbid your leo cage!

Thats just aweful!!!!! I agree that putting out a piece of carrot or something to attract them.

I keep my mealworm colony in a three drawer plastic unit. It seems to be working very well and its alot more organized that just having bins.
