I'm by no means an expert i've only had leos for a year or so but arent pinkies known to carry alot of parasites and if you give them a couple they just barf them up because they are harder to digest because of the bones?

i mean give her a few pinkies every once in a while. If you give her pinkie after pinkie you are really apt to see some regurtitation(s.p.) if you spread them out to one pinkie every to weeks, then you will do just fine. i havent heard much about pinkys have much of a parasite, the reason why is because they havent been able to really get much of a time to get them. Another thing is all of my food for my leos is checked to make sher it is safe. I dont feed my leos ANY and i do mean ANY dirty food. (dirty meaning feed with parasites) they will never get dirty food.
hope this helps a little bit!

I pretty sure that pinkies dont carry harmful parasites... They mainly get what they eat and since they are in captation for so long and after the generation they dont have what a normal mouse would. I dont think that breeders will go get some rats out of a dumpster and breed them... So they are very safe. But just like TLC said you should only feed them once a week or once every 2 weeks. (Make sure you leo is full grown before feeding it a pinkie because they might not be big enough to handle one).

the gecko is old enough, a 9 month to a year old and up would be ok, the pinkies dont carry any parasites and they will onlt throw the pinkie up if they're to small to eat it,
feed it superworms, mealworms everyday, and 3 waxworms every week, i' have fattend up many leo only using those, pinkies are better for breeding females, if you choose to go with pinks use mouse pinks of course..lol and 1 every 2 weeks but always have mealworms and/or superworms for a variety. hope this helps
P.S your leo has a better chance of getting parasites from crickets then from a pinkie.
I've never used super worms before but i have heard that they are good for them and help gain weight back. But what i use to fatten up my gecko is wax worms. Do NOT feed them as a staple food though. It is like candy and they will get adicted to them and wont eat anything else but waxies.

Mine got addicted to waxies almost instantly. That's the LAST time I will ever give them to her. She has refused food for a few weeks when I quite giving them to her. She's eating okay now, but nevermore wil I give her waxies.

How many did you feed her a week? They will get adicted if u use it as a staple food ( main food ). Just feed them a wax worm once or twice a week
