Whats the averidge life span for leapord geckos? the only info i can find on this is that they are fairly "long lived" but compared to what?? so how long would a well cared for non-breeder normal pattern gecko live for?

I've heard of leos living 20 years. But I'm sure a well taken care of (probably male) with proper requirements and great health could live upwards of 30. I said male because just because a female is never bred, they can still produce eggs (whether it be infertile, or absorbed back into the body). But yeah, this is a pretty longlived animal.

The life span of a gecko is 12-20 years. But i've heard of alot of geckos living well over 20. But 12-20 is the best answer i can give you.

Thank you very much for your replies! i had suspected that they lived upwards of 12 years, but i just wasnt sure! i have a 6 year old female, and i get comments from friends and family along the lines of "you STILL have her??? how old IS she??" i huess they assume they have the lifespan of a hampster or somthing
