Hello,

I have finally gotten my bearded dragons to successfully mate. The Female is starting to show throught the underside of her belly (about 3 weeks gravid). My question is what is the best way to provide a place for her to lay her eggs? Also, in your experiance how long does it normally take before she will lay the eggs.

If she's 3 weeks gravid she's probably about ready, average time is 20-30 days. Best way I've found is to get a large rubbermaid and pile moist dirt on one side about 10-15 inches deep on a slope. Point at it to keep it warm. She'll dig a tunnel, lay her eggs, and then cover it back up. I've seen the whole process take about 30 minutes up to a week. Spray the dirt down occasionally to keep it moist (not muddy though).
