What would you feed a 13' snake thats thick as a straw, whom seems to envy earth worms in his current state?

LOL, damn, no edit. 13" not 13'. 13' would be a whole different problem...

my little 9 incher eats small pinkies just fine--if you are worried about the size go to your local pet store and see if they can get some just born pinkies for you, or you can feed a mouse leg or some other small piece of rodent.

Without knowing what particular species you refer to, it is impossible to recomend a diet. However, any snake will eat lizards. FInd the tiniest you can and go from there. A calking will also eat ringneck snakes, which are usually extremely plentiful. I don't know where you are located, but I can catch ten or twenty 4-6" ringnecks pretty much any afternnoon in the Santa Cruz Mtns.

Good luck.
