What do you mean poor visible light? if your talking about it isnt very bright then the people must have bad bulbs because i switch from a 5.0 to the 8.0 and i thought i was going to go blind if i even looked in my BD's cage and my beardie was loving the UVB and the more light in his cgaae. The weird thing is it gives off a blueish light.

I think they are great, I had a clutch of ornate uromastyx hatch out last year I put half under Reptisun's most powerful uv and used Exo Terra 8.0 on the others it was an intense blue in their cage and it does hurt to look directly at it. The babies under the exo terra grew much faster, ate much better, and were more active. So I would say that it did well.

I have heard that if the exo terra 8.0 is in one of the under
the counter walmart lighting fixtures that it does not work
properly. And is not very bright. UVB's non existent so to
speak.
From what I have heard it has to be put in a fixture made
for it.
Hope that helps.
