Blue head

Sweetpea's head is turning a pretty shade of blue. Is this temporary or permanent?

Looks like hes getting ready to shed, tho my male Rocky who is going on 7 yrs has a light blue head when he goes into his breeding season colors...solid orange and black body and a light blue head...very pretty...next time he gets that way I will take pics....Lyn

Shedding Although as they get older, their heads can get a nice light blue-grey. When Tempest is in a super good mood, his head is a blue-grey, and he shows almost turquois through his shoulders and chest.

Yep! It was shedding. She rubbed it off today. Appetite is off too! Glad to know she's normal...
