I've got one adult eastern coachwhip I caught a couple weeks ago... I am not sure how far the probe is supposed to go down to tell if it's a male or female. I also have two nice adult buttermilk racers I caught a couple days ago, does ne one now how to sex them too?? Thanks for ne help.

I've never heard that there is anything odd about Coachwhips in that regard so Id look for them to probe like any other snake. If you are able to probe anything over 3 or 4 subcaudals Id imagine its a male.

Buttermilks are very easy to visually sex. The males have much longer and thicker tails compared to the females and they also probe very easily and deeply.

Where did your Buttermilks come from?
