Ackie Injured...need some advice

lgehrig4 Apr 24, 2004 10:17 AM

Hi,

I noticed this morning that my young Ackie (a/b 4inches) has a fresh divit on the top of his tail and at the very tip looks like it was bitten off. He definitely didn't have this when I bought him last Sunday. Could the crickets have done this? or do you think that these are self inflicted? There is nothing sharp in the cage that would have done this I can't figure it out.

By the way, how should I treat this?

Thanks in advance
JEff

for healing reptiles, and making them healthy hahahahaha

Anyways yes crickets can attack your reptiles. if it is an open wound you may want to put some silvan cream on it to promote healing. Other then that next time when you leave crickets in the cages, be sure the crickets have other fod to eat then your monitor.
