SHES EATING!!!

umop_apisdn Apr 24, 2004 10:37 AM

well, as some of you may know, the mother of my 3 baby phantasticus has been ill for almost 2 weeks now. i was worried she wasnt eating, because she is not using her back legs as much as she used to. she still moves them around a tiny bit, but for the most part, she no longer uses them, only climbs around on her front two legs. well, this morning when i weighed her, she weighed 0.2 grams more than she did 2 days ago. i was worried because i was trying to feed her baby food, since its easy to eat and a lot of other geckos/lizards like it, and she wouldnt even eat that. i figured that since her back legs werent being used, she wouldnt be able to pounce the crix like she usually does. well, since she feeds at night and i sleep through most of her day, i guess shes been eating while im not looking. thats real good news, because this means she can at least keep her strength. her vent also doesnt seem quite as swollen and tender as it did at first, but it is still a lil bit swollen. thanks for all your help and suggestions guys, lets hope she'll get better from whatever this might be.

that swelling is going down in vent area, who knows buddy, it still could be an infection of some kind thats healing with time.

Maybe when swelling goes down she will get more use of those back legs also. Don't give up, just hang in.

SHE ISN'T GIVING UP !
