Hey folks, I need some help identifying some alligator lizard babies. The best approach would be to post a photo, but that's not an option right now. Anway, I bought some baby lizards at the pet store. They're a light broun on top, with dark sides and limbs. There are light speckles in the dark on the side. The snout doesn't seem as pointy as the alligator lizards I've seen. I've tried to look at photos of baby northerns and southerns, and they definitely look different. Not sure how variable babies are. Most likely they were born live to a dealer in Florida. Could it be a central american or Mexican species? Anyone here really know their anguids who could help me?
