New tank....

lilroach56 Apr 24, 2004 07:10 PM

Today i finally put Lexy in my old BP cage (cleaned with a 1:5 bleach water solution). It has the approximate dimensions of a 20L. She has 3 dry hides and one humid hide. A rock. Paper towel substrate. And a branch (i doubt she will climb it). The dry hides are, 2 terra-cotta flower pot bases and 1 TGI fridays mozzeralla stick box. The humid hide is the same as my old one, a tupperware lid filled with moist paper towels and covered w/ cardboard.

he didn't say 5" by 5" was suitable...he said they'd fit into it...whereas a human would not physically be able to fit into the space you described for them....

he never said you could keep a leo in a 5 by 5 space...he just said it would fit whereas it would be entirely impossible for an average size adult to fit into the size space you described...

oh...and I'd like you to prove that a loe would die in a 5 by 5 space...ever seen it happen?...you said below that it wouldn't be able to get excersize except by running in circles and asked if a person would want to do that all day...ever heard of a track?...or i don't know...maybe a treadmill where people run in one place for hours?...

lilroach56 Apr 25, 2004 09:09 AM

I look forward to seeing a pic of the setup. I have a large branch in my males tank (Boo). He climbs it all the time actually. It leads up to the top of a large brick so he'll walk up it and then perch on the brick.
