If your corn passes something like that again i would take it to a vet and take the fecal with you...Paul

That doesn't look like tapeworm to me but if your snake doesn't have normal looking potty next time, I'd get a fecal done.

No, they aren't segments. I'm concerned they might be egg cysts.

As for having a fecal done, that's a funny story. Had one done by my normal snake vet 4 months ago. Came back clean. Of course, that happens with tapeworms.

Still had problems and concerns, so asked around at the local herp club who's the best in the area. Waited till I had a good sample, then drove it up. That was last Friday morning. He called me back Friday evening around 7:30pm -- told me everthing was fine, fecal weas clean, but should have 2 or 3 done just to be sure. I suspect he had a busy day and didn't even bother looking at the sample.

So, if anyone can inform me about what may or may not be in the photo I am much obliged. But please don't bother telling me to take her to the vet. I kind of figured that one out, OK? Will try to find a place to take her in next week, though I'm no longer certain she'll live that long.

Well you should have told us about the trip to the vet.Ive never had anything like that come out of any snake before.
While i would like to second guess about infertile aborted eggs
I cant.Maybe some of the big breeders have seen that before.Good
luck and keep us posted. The only advice i can give you is try another vet.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. There is no way these are reptile eggs, ovum or anything like that.

Tapeworm egg cysts can form in muscle and tissue inside the animal. In extreme cases those cysts can be shed through the cloaca.

>>It kind of looks to me like fat. Maybe the last mouse it ate had a lot of fatty deposits...I don't know.
As far as tape worms go, If tape worms in snakes look anything like tapeworms in dogs then those are definitely not tapeworms.
You know the rest...keep an eye on your snake, feed as scheduled and watch to see how the next excrement looks. If it still looks like that pictured...take it to another vet.
Sorry I know you didn't want that last piece of advise but ....

I'm sorry to say I have seen this before in 2 snakes I had.It was not a worm, but looks exactly like the fecal slime my snakes had when they had a bad respiratory infection and I did not catch it fast enough. As soon I discovered it I began treating them with Impacillin but it was too late and they died.If you have any other snakes kept close to this snake move them and clean this snakes cage and water bowl thoroughly with diluted bleach water.
My 2 snakes were not housed together but side by side and I dont know which snake it came from to begin with. The last stages of the sickness was a lethargic look to it, slight foam from the mouth and then the last day blood started to come out of its mouth and they died.
If it was worms I was told by a herpetologist at a university to put 2 drops of Iodine in fresh water and it will get rid of them, but no more than 2 drops.I hope this helps and sorry if it turns out like mine.
