Can I get an opinion on sex of this Tortoise?

Ophidiophile Jun 15, 2003 08:36 AM

Hate to be an opinion glutton but how about this somewhat smaller 2 year old?

First impulse is male...
but it is kinda small to be sure. The anal scutes are kinda strange also. Females will splay in like that. Males will normally splay out.

SOUTHERN FLORIDA CORUCIA RESEARCH CENTER (SFCRC)

Location: LEE/1.

The G. pardalis pictured is a male. With that tail, there is no doubt. We have a female Leopard with a tiny tail in comparison.

Sincerely,
Brian
