I dont think hot rocks are good for any animal. They could burn them. If you insist on having it i would use it just for looks. hot rocks in my opinion are bad and i wouldnt use one i think its harmful.

Hot rocks now are much safer than they were a few years ago. Still i wouldnt use them, even if i never met someone who have their lizard burned by one of them. First i dont like to have that black cord showing...and second why take a chance...In my opinion heat pad are better... I do have a friend that use a hot rock, he was able to hide the cord quite well and seem to be happy with it.

They can and will burn your leos belly. Then you will have som real problems there.

If you want the hot rock just for decoration, that I suggest that you just cut off the cord and be done with it.

Use either heat tape, UTH, or reptile bulbs to heat your leos enclosure. Its the safest way, and you wont end up with a dead gecko, or $$$$ in vet bills. You choose.
