What kind of wood comes in 1/2" thickness?

Is there any kind of wood/wood product that comes in a thickness of 1/2"? the reason why i ask is because the plans for a 4' by 2' cage uses 1/2 material and i am wondering what kind of wood i could use.

yellow pine, white pine, white oak, red oak, maple, ash, cherry, hickory, aspen, walnut, black walnut, cedar, birch, mahogony, spuce, balsam, hemlock, larch, redwood, yew, Alder, Basswood,Beech, Cottonwood, Cypress, Elm, Gum, Hackberry, Hard Maple, Pecan, Pacific Coast Maple, Poplar, Sassafras, Soft Maple, Sycamore, White Oak, Willow. etc. etc

I went through and tweaked the design a hair here and there to make it more stable and more reliable.

It also mentions the glass size for the track and the adhesive that is supposed to work well on polyprop if you use it to make the rack.
