ptgirl Apr 25, 2004 12:13 PM

The St. Petersburg Times April 22nd edition reports that a class pet iguana was stolen from a 6th grade classroom. She was a baby iguana and missing for a week. A police officer found her in the sewer four feet underground. He rescued her after shining a light in her eyes and they opened. He was informed as to her where abouts. She was cold, hungry and dehydrated. They thought she had broken her back legs. She is now back with the teacher after receiving medical care.
