We took her back to the lodge for photos.

She was very placid, never struck. After photos, she was returned to the creek bed where she was found.

yeah i knew someone would say that. We were wearing boots when we found it, but oddly AND CONTRARY To the shows on Animal Planet (won't mention names)....Large aspers tend to be rather mellow and this one was no exception. They may run, but unless you try to restrain them and/or pin them....they rarely attempt to bite. Most just run off a hook.

We even caught an annulated tree boa, which was dog tame, and allowed handling with no attempts to bite. I've always been under the impression that all tree boas are biters.....I am convinced they are not.

LOL - if you were one of my students, I'd now have to fire you for contravening safety rules!

Cheers,

LOL!!!! I guess I'll have to find employment elsewhere. And I was gonna list you as a reference!!! LOL!!!!!

Sadly, I left my rubber boots (Standard tico footware) at Sirena. After hiking 30 miles around Corcovado, one tends to prefer to avoid wearing boots at all.....I usually wear Vasque hiking boots, but once they're wet, I prefer my sandals for lounging around the lodge.

FYI, I heard a funny story about Bill Lamar getting bitten by a Cribo while filming for Discovery. Apparently the snake kissed him on the mouth.....BUT wouldn't let go.
