Does anyone else own light jumpers?

This is really maddening. It seems to be only my males but they will leap from their basking spots right at the light bulb used for providing heat. This of course breaks the filaments within the bulbs making them useless. I can't imagine the anger I might have if I were using the $40 UV and heat producing bulbs. It goes through spells but sometimes I might only get a day or two from a bulb before they break it. AAAAHHHH!!!!

I have several that go after the florescent fixtures. To be safe, your heat bulb should be enclosed with a hardware cloth screen to prevent burns. (it would also help the life of the bulb

You can return the bulbs. If they break after 2 days I am sure the store will gladly accept them for a return. However returning bulbs every week might get annoying.

I have one who does this but my bulbs are sitting on top of a screen lid so Salsa just catches the screen and than hangs from the ceiling of the enclousure for about 30-60 seconds. 18 inch drop so no big risk of injury.
