I've been considering picking some vorax up. I already have some GT leachianus and love them, so I was considering these. Their being a skin sloughing gecko is what has turned me off. Are you able to handle yours without too much concern of this? I don't really handle my geckos for fun, but I don't want one to "drop" its skin when I have to get it out for a cage cleaning.

Hi
So far so good, the guy in the store had a little trouble getting the male out of the viv when i bought him, and the female
handles well, as the pic shows.
I am not one for handling my herps either, but so far they
dont seem to keen on dropping their skin.
I have heard they have very long incubation times 150-200 days!

I have been keeping vorax for around seven months and occasionally handle mine. They don't particularly enjoy being picked up but once out of their enclosure they're fine. I have never had one slough any skin or look like its been damaged from handling. I would definately reccommend them to people who are into arboreal geckos they are fab!

One other thing, i tried my pair on some banana last night, and they cleared the entire bowl.
I have tried crested on fruit before, but have never seemed interested.
maybe their common name The banana gecko is well chosen.
