Advice/Opinions??

Hi, the other day I noticed that my little Yellow anaconda has a
bump on his side. It's visually noticable, it begins in the
middle of his side and goes down to his belly. It wasn't there
a couple of weeks ago. I've always fed him dead rats/mice.
I think it may be self inflicted. He's got a plastic tube about
a foot in a lalf in length and an inch and a half in diameter as
one of his hides. It sits half in the water container with just
the tip hanging out. He spends a lot of time in it with a small
'U' like section of his body hanging out in the water. I think
he may have broken a rib squeezing in or out of it. He doesn't
seem to be in pain, when I feel the small bump he doesn't show
any reaction. Will his contusion heal? What else could have
caused it? He really likes the tube, and it keeps him from
burying himself under the bedding. The skin isn't broken but i'm
a little concerned. Thanks for any help.........tc

Just monitor it to see if it goes away. One of my burms had a similar bump on her neck that disappeared after a few days. Probably the snake equilavent of a pimple. Keep watching the bump and if it gets worse or doesnt go away after a few weeks, consider a vet trip.
