spotted python question

eliotstone Apr 25, 2004 06:37 PM

Dear All:
I got my male cape york in and I'm very excited. They are both a year old now and I was wondering at what age/size spotted pythons reach sexual maturity.
thanks,
Eliot Stone

I have bred childreni as early as 18 months of age and about 3/4ths adult size. That particular female was a great feeder and grew fairly quickly. Average is probably during the second winter if they are large enough. It should be similar for macs.
Good luck, and let me know when you get some babies, because your cape yorks are really good looking.
