breeding weight ,help please?

i have a pair of mexican milks that i just got. the guy i got them from said they where proven, cooled and ready to go! but since then i've found him to be shady so i dont know if he was telling the truth?? if they wernt cooled will they still breed? what is a good breeding weight for this snake? is there any way to tell if they have been cooled?

i put them together yesterday and they wrapped up right a way and locked tails! so i dont know???
