Hey,
I put this post up in burms so i thought id try here also. I have always wanted a lard boa or python species but never took the step of getting one. Ive delt with reptiles for a while, a few monitors a few snakes, but my largest now is a 5-6 foot dummi. I just wanted to know how these guys are with attitude, housing, needs, ect. Also to pick any particular retic over another. Any help is appreciated!

They can be extremely expensive to feed. Some are docile, many are not. If the biggest constrictor you've dealt with is a Dumerils, i'd wait and aquire something less intrusive.

Though Retics can be extremely rewarding animals to work with, they ca be also extremely time consuming (if you want a docile snake)and dangerous.

Another option may be to obtain a Dwarf. Their just as beautiful without being as BIG.

I wish you luck with whatever you decide.
