Bask Light

I know boas need 12hrs light 12 of darkness,but i was wondering is bask light is even needed if the hot side provided by unheater is at 89 day 80 at night.I ask because seems my stays on unheat pad hide box in day,and cool side at night,if he's not exploring
But rarly ever goes a sits in the 90 basking spot.

The usual recommendations are for a warm end at 90-95, and a cool and at about 78-84. A nighttime drop of 5 degrees in both ends is OK.

There is a chance that your boa may not like the bright light, so it stays away from the warmth. An undertank heater is OK, but you should always monitor the cool end temp because undertank heaters do very little to warm the air temperature. Depending on the room temperature, you may have a cold cage with a hot spot.

Many people use ceramic heat emitters (CHE) or radiant heat panels to provide heat from above. Since both of these do not give off any light, you can maintain optimal cage temps even at night.
