I know about the genetic possibilities of a "yellowbellied", but what makes people call them that? Are their bellies yellow, or just clean & patternless? Is it yellow along the sides near the belly?

Just trying to figure this one out.

Not even close.....the only resenblance is the blushing coming up the sides, but there is way more to them than only that,

I agree with Mike on this one. That animal lacks the head markings that all yellow bellies seem to have. I would say it may be something none the less, but is probably NOT a yellow belly! People feel they are variable but those who really know what they are looking at agree that they all have consistant "markers" that classify them as the same strain. Time will tell, the answers will likely be proven out sometime this season by a few dedicated breeders, who will hopefully produce the super as well, if so the guessing game will finally be over!
