I'm very worried....awaiting a vet call....scary answering machine message....

so I got home from school today and as usual, immediately went to see how the reptiles were doing. I had put a soil/sand mixture in with my uro to see if she would try to burrow, since when I put her new hiding spot in yesterday, she started trying to dig like a mad woman. So I looked in her tank. She was in her rete's stack and poked her head out to see it was me. Little cutie. I turn around to see my precious beardie Sydney who has not been doing well (parasites and such) and I was happy to see that he was basking in the nice, perky push up position, and I thought "great, he must be getting better". Then I went and checked the answering machine for messages.

Last week we took him to the vets to get a look over, get some parasites taken care of, and get a blood test. Well, today is the day they were getting back to us with the blood test. Last time we had a blood test done on him, they got back to us quickly and confirmed he was fine. This time the message went something along the lines of "Call vet so-and-so at fairport animal hospital to discuss the results of Sydney's blood tests", and it didn't sound very up beat either. I'm very worried. I've still got anywhere from a half hour to a couple hours of waiting, and I'm worrying myself to death. I'm hoping it's nothing, but I'm terrified that it might be something bad.

Can someone offer me some reassurance for now so I don't give myself an ulsar worrying about it?

Don't make assumptions based on an answering machine message tone of voice. Mabye the person leaving the message just got in a fight with their significant other.

Frankly it seems to be a perfectly fine message informing you to call them. It's pointless to worry about something so trivial when there are other things you could use that energy to do.

I've found the best way to cope with these kinds of things is to realize the more calm and clear your head is the better decisions you are going to be able to make for your beardie.

Hope this helps a little. Good luck with him.
