Russian rat eggs dried up. Can they be saved??

Seeing Marcel's babies hatching kills me, but congradulations!!

I found my female rusian had laid her eggs in the middle of her shed. We've been away for the weekend and came back so bagged, I totally forgot to check my gravid snakes. Found the eggs today. One looks ok, the others are caved in, but not too hard and I can feel fluid inside, they're a teeny bit leathery still in some parts. We immediately put them into the incubator nice and moist. Can they can be saved? I feel so terrible. I don't know anyone else who has been successful in Canada and I was terribly excited about this batch. I've been crying for ten minutes. The female looks good. Still needs to shed, but her body condition is a-ok.

Is this a lost cause? Can dried eggs come back to life? They are bright white and large.

Putting them in moist vermiculite is good. You may want to mist them once a day until they puff out. Just watch for mold if they get too wet.

No harm done yet. They will recuperate easily. Especially in the beginning. All you have to look out for is hydrating them too quick. That will kill the eggs for sure. So slowly add water. I would suggest wet spagnum moss (sqeeze light with your hands untill no water comes out) on top of the eggs for one week.
