WESTERN RIFT CHAMELEONS- DO THEY NEED A WATER DISH?

caecilianman02 Apr 26, 2004 05:45 PM

Hi there:

I recently bought a pair of adult male and female Western rift chameleons. I understand that chameleons drink very frequently, but do they drink from a still dish? I know that most arboreal lizards do not. Should I just mist them and let them lap up the water droplets? Thanks.

DAVE

Like all Rhampholean and other old world Chameleons Rhampholean boulengeri do not normally drink from a water bowl. Just mist their enclosure like a normal chameleons enclosure and they will drink the droplets on the leaves in the cage. By the way, who is selling Rhampholean boulengeri?
