pygmy leaf cham eggs

andydy464 Apr 26, 2004 06:37 PM

hey, i found 2 eggs from one of my pygmy leaf chameleons today. (r-brev) it was pretty cool. i have no idea how long they have been there though. i was careful removing them and placed them in vermiculite to incubate.

does anyone know how long the incubation is for these eggs? or any other tips you could give me. i have never had any of my chams lay eggs before. its pretty weird too cause 5 days ago one of my box turtles layed 4. : )

On average the incubation is about 60 days. We have had some hatch as early as 34 days but most are around 60 days. We incubate ours at room temperature. Good luck with them. If you have any other questions please feel free to let me know.

Congrats.

Well, I notices that the new hatched babies trends to dehydrate very quickly. Thus, be sure you gain a humidifier beforehand.
