You could try a bearded dragon or uromastyx. They are usually very hardy as long as the right set up is bought with the lizard. Just remember - lots of heat for both species, more so with the uromastyx (don't forget the cool end!) and masses of uvb lighting! They both require a minimum of a 5% uvb bulb but an 8% is better!
What about a bearded dragon?
Hello Macarthur
Why not try a Blue-Tongued Skink. They are hardy and don't necessarily require too demanding of conditions in order to keep them healthy. They will feed on a variety of foods and are quite long-lived. Most of them also have a fairly gentle disposition.
Collared Lizards are kinda fun.
