Here are two ackies I bought of the 4 females two looked very disimilar. I have never had true yellow ackies. What do you see in this picture??? By the way the were Hydrating.

The upper one is, V.a.bracyhurs, looks male.
The lower one is, V.a.acanthurus, it is a female with ovum/eggs in her.
That pic is an excellent comparision of one of the major differences. The tail spines of V.a.a. are much larger and stronger then the tail spines of, V.a.b. . Good luck FR
The bottom one looks sorta fatty like a female, looks red.
