Mating question for all experienced

Hi a female cornsnake of mine during mating with her male or afterwards had a ball of skin hanging from her cloaca which after about a week turned black and fell off.Is this normal and do some male corns place a sperm plug like they say garters do? Or do I have a problem with her genitalia.Thanks for any advice.John

I don't know what that could have been I have never noticed such a thing on my snakes before. I don't really know if it was a sperm plug, severed hemi penis, or a partial prolapsed rectum. Was there any blood in the cage, does the snake now appear normal without any bumps or bulges by her vent. How about the male does he seem ok?
I wish had better info for you, but I really have no idea?
