would a black rough neck monitor eat an egg? if so how would i make it safe for him?

From what I've read by Mike Balsai, if you are going to feed store bought chicken eggs, make sure you cook them first to destroy the avidin in the egg whites and possible salmonella bacteria. I feed my Timors and my Savannah about 1 egg a week, they love it!
