I have heard that one of the giveaways in differentiating between the two subspecies is the prescence, or absence of pattering on the head, especially crescent shaped markings right above each eye on the top of the head. Yellows do not have this head patterning.
Nowadays, with the many hobbyists breeding ackies, you never know what's what, or who down the line decided to cross the two. It's kind of like the Diamond x Jungle Carpet Pythons..
Pretty little ackie, nonetheless.. any other opinions?
