I'm not looking for stuff so basic as know be prepared for a very long lived animal, but I would like genral tips I might not get from reading commonly available books out there. The species I might be picking is a sulcata baby or a Russian Tortoise (Maybe a Greek Tortoise instead). I live in Northern California (just barely though) with a Mediteranian (spelling?) climate.

So most of the year if not all of the year my animals would live outside. I was kind of thinking of moving the sulcata baby in at night if I go that route and haveing an outdoor shelter for the day and an indoor shelter at night for it's protection. Possiblely doing the same thing for the Russians. All opinions are appreciated.
