Need Help gettting male in the mood PLEASE HELP!

boastud Apr 28, 2004 12:04 AM

My male is 3 years old 18" and 325g He bred last year, but this year is an absolute no go. They have been out of hibernation for almost 2 months now. I have him in is own cage. I placed the girls in with him (only one at a time) and he would head bob then do nothing. Then i tried putting him in with the girls, again head bobbing, with some chasing, but no breeding. I even tried puting another male in with him (supervised) to try to pump him up but im having no luck. I have the most amazing female that has now laid her second infertile clutch, and im getting very frustrated. Please help!!!

what are the weather conditions where you live. A cold front can throw off their cycle. A good storm front with rain usually helps. Barametric pressure can make a difference. how long are your lights on for every day? whats the ambient temp?
I have a bunch that wont go either so I hope you find an answer.

good luck
