If you use paper towels change them daily, and my large female is in all water about 1/4 of an inch deep. I only feed my frogs goldfish and the occasional mouse. I start out with small portions for the frogs till I see what they can eat, one gold fish a day for a week then move to 2 every other day, then I move to however many it looks like could halfway fill him. I feel goldfish are the best food by far for these frogs and rarely feed them anything else, it helps them grow fairly fast becasue there is a lot of calcium in the fish' bones. Well I hope that helps.
