Day 26-28 is the norm around here, but I wasn't worried.

do u think pine boards will be okay if i paint it and wat type of paint can i use...spray paint???...cause i made some hides already w pine and some have told me it causes respritory irratations so i pulled them out but do u think it would be safe if i just painted it????thnx again
You'll have to use an enamel or an epoxy paint. They dry and harden like PLASTIC. They are water proof! Its not expensive. 1 small can ($4) could easily do 15-20 hide boxes. No probs!
