so i noticed my cham at the bottom of the cage making noises laying on its side changing color repeatedly for a minute it stiffened up i thought it was dead so i brought it out and it has no strength keeps falling over eyes are open but look sunk in.. anyway i was thinking dehydration so i been up all night (its 6am now) trying to give it water and soaking/spraying it but the skin did not look loose or saggy so could it be dehydration or something else??? anyway i would say it looks better than it did at midnight now its just laying on its stomach and very alert i tap the box and moves a little...

Sorry, but you didn't provide enough information to even start guessing at the problem. Need to know- male, female, age, temps, humidity, diet, supplements, etc.
Out of the blue, I'd say either upper respiratory infection or internal parasites. Take it to a vet immediately. Even with the information provided, it's hard to guess what the problem might be. So the best advice I can give, is to take it to a vet. Only a vet would be able to make the correct diagnosis and give the proper medications as needed. Make sure you bring a fresh stool sample with you.
Sorry I'm not much help,
Cricket

something this severe cannot be diagnosed on the forum. get him to your vet, pronto. If it is severe dehydration he could be in renal failure and it may be too late.

For what it is worth post his entire setup:
lighting: what bulb(s), brand duration
temperature: basking, ambient
water: how? dripper? mister? how often?
food: what? when? gutloaded? supplements?

I am sure I am forgetting something but you get the idea. But first PLEASE get him to a vet!

go to this link and scroll down to vet listing if you don;t already have one (which you should)

Need info please!
Need nighttime temp (if available) and Day temp. How are you watering your cham? Do you mist? How often?
How old is your cham? By changing color, what do you mean? What colors? Black to green and again? How are its eyes? Sunk in?
Diet, what is it eating, when did it last eat? If crickets, how big? Are you using supplements? What type?
Very hard to say what's going on with the little guy with so little information available. You mentioned sunk in eyes, were you keeping him outside? Is it possible that he's very dehydrated? Have you tried watering him with a blunt syringe in his mouth?

I'm so sorry at your loss. I don't mean to judge or criticize, but things like this usually don't just happen. Perhaps you overlooked a sign of distress. Have you considered taking her to a pathologist to determine her cause of death? I don't want to sound cold-hearted about it, but any information shared could help fellow herpers.
Once again, I'm sorry about your loss. It's always tough losing a pet.

My condolences.
Just for reference, could you provide her conditions, environment, prior events that might have contributed to her demise? You mentioned you dehydration, why do you think that?
I'm not looking to cast blame. Just trying to figure out what went wrong, maybe we can help someone else.
Again, so sorry about your little girl.

Hi - I am very sorry for your loss

As cricket and victor both pointed out there were possibly signs that went unnoticed. As has been said many times, chams are good at masking their symptoms until it is too late. When you feel up to it. it would be worth you listing all the info requested and maybe we can help determine what the problem may have been. Also any signs that, in hindsight, may now make some sense. If you are planning on getting another cham in the future it would be best to make sure all your husbandry is proper.

A companion animal loss is always tough - and most of us on this forum can relate
