I am totally satisfied with my present cricket vendor but I am purchasing some baby dragons and will need a lot more crickets and my present vendor is not inexpensive. Anyone know a company that is reliable, with good crickets, and less expensive?
I am going to raise some dragons and breed a few hopefully; but I would think that for most breeders this is a real labor of love because raising them the proper way, with the best of everything, costs quite a bit.

i use the Bug Company, there prices go down the more you buy and shipping is included. they are located in MN but ship everywhere. good luck. babies eat so much!!

A lot depends on where you live. Shipping in cold or hot weather = fedex or some other expensive overnight service and sometimes heat or cold packs too. I live in Florida and my crix supplier (Lazy H Bait) is also in Florida. He sends them year round with no heat or cold packs, US Post. I pay $10 delivered, per 1000 any size and I get them next day or 2 day.

Last season I was getting 28,000 crix a week. and there were still weeks that the babies would eat more than expected and I would run short. This year I am doing pellets and a variety of other foods too so hopefully it won't be as bad.

Sorry but taking care of nearly 200 animals takes a big chunk out of my day. Finding time to be on all the forums is a chore in and of itself. I am always happy to answer questions and help when I can. Best bet is to call me though. give the office a ring 305 270-1318.
