Where To buy Rubbermaids?

zhenchok Apr 28, 2004 12:29 PM

Hi, I'm trying to build a rack for a few ball pythons. I would like to buy the square Sterilite ones, I think thats what the brand is, that would be a suitable size for adult Balls. I've looked at Walmart, Target, Homedepot and can't find any that look like the ones people use. Any recomendations would be great. Is 32 qrt too small? I also have some rubbermains that I used to use for my mice, I think they are 42 Qts, but not sure is that edequate enough? What is the best size? Any pics would be great, Thanks.

I use 32qt sterilites for the males and smaller females and the 42qt's for the BIG girls. I find these all at Target. I also just finished building a hatchling rack that uses the nice and clear 6qt sterilites. So I have 6qt racks for hatchlings, 32qt racks for males and sub-adult females, and the 42qt racks for the bigger girls (2000g ). All are using sterilites that I found at Target.

Doesn't it seem that the 32 is not large enough for a ball python? Don't they need to strech out?

Of course anything bigger won't hurt. But the pythons that stay in the 32qt's are around the 1200g and smaller range, and they still have lots of room.
