Children's clutch and question

Sonya Apr 28, 2004 03:13 PM

Okay, last year she laid 14 a month after she was shipped to me and they were smaller eggs. This is a clutch of 16 and one slug (there on top) and the eggs are half again the size. Last year only 2 made it. This year I am hoping for better. Someone also mentioned to me that 'Gee, you could double clutch her.' Which then makes me ask a couple questions.
Putting weight back on her is not a problem. She loves to eat. But, suppose you had this python. How would you go about double clutching her? Would you? Are fertility of second clutches less? ANY input would be great.

Sonya,

I kind of have a similar question about double clutching except with Spotted Pythons which from what I understand is pretty the same as Childrens Python but they are like separate sub-species or something. If you find any info on the double clutch thing please pass it my way and I will do the same for you if I find out anything.

Thanks,
Brad
