Tail Question

mr_velocity Apr 28, 2004 03:24 PM

There was a post last week about a tail turning black. My 3 month old just lost 3/4 of an inch of his tail that turned black and fell off. I put Neosporin on the little red dot at the end of his tail after it happened. Now the last 3" of his tail is beginning to look a little grayish, not much but in the right light you can see it. So I'm worried.
He has been growing extremely quickly and eats a lot, full helping of greens (twice a day - good boy), 20 repcal juvi pellets and 40 - 1/2" crickets a day. He also get's plenty of UV under a MVB. He's also extremely active and really likes to come out and play.

Time for a visit to the vet?

Check to make sure there isn't a piece of retained shed pinching off circulation. I would look like a little ring indented.
