Is it ok to handle cresteds during the day or will this disturb and stress them out? Do any of you do this with success?

Back when I had fewer and could afford the time to handle them alot more often, I would handle them durring the day. I never noticed any ill effects. I would say that you are ok, but keep an eye on how much they are eating etc, and if you notice any ill effects, then stop. If you have one that seems especially jittery or anything from the begining, then I would not bother it either.
I dont know if Anthony handles his more, he may have better advise on this matter.

also i just got them yesterday so how long should i wait until i can start handling them?
