pastels variants

Kegman Apr 28, 2004 08:15 PM

I was wondering if anyone prefers the lemon pastels over the "normal" pastels and why. Are the two compatable? Why are lemons higher priced (very often it seems). I am basically looking for info on pastels before purchasing one and I would like to know some opinions on the variations first. Thanks )

the kingsnake Add by Aaron luxenburg. There is another form of pastel. I've seen the snake in person and I'm not big into pastels. But wow that animal is smoking.

Are you talking about that group he has for sale with the one male and five normal females because that male does not look like a pastel. I have a male that is het for ghost that would blow that bp away.

I told him that is the worst pic I've ever seen lol. It is a pastel as I've seen it in person. The pic is an old pic from a very old degi cam. No color came out in the pic. if you e-mail him he'll send you an updated picture. As far as I'm concerend it's a great value. I would personally buy them if I didn't have my money tied up in some c.b.b. timor pythons.

They are higher because of marketing...very simply.

When it comes to pastels, everyone has an opinion.....so please take this in context.

I don't see the lemons as anything special. There are some great looking lemons and some lousy looking lemons just like any pastel line.

My personal favorite is the Graziani line. This line has been around a while and has been enhanced through generational breeding. You can also find some grubby looking pastels from this line, but overall I like them the best. I think the blushing tends to give this pastel line the edge for me. They tend to have a greater degree of blushing then a typical pastel. Here is a pick of a Graziani female of mine.

True Blondes or True Stonewashes AKA "Rupple Line" Pastels

Hi Mike
Do you have a picture of a "True Blonde". I have yet to see a better looking Blonde than some of our nice Pastels. Ralph's adult female is not attractive and those who have them don't post very good pictures of them or not at all.
GOD Bless
Andre
